Travel Tip: Unpack As Soon As You Get Home
As a self-processed organizational freak, there's nothing worse in my mind than still having my luggage sitting in the entryway a week after returning from a trip but it's easy to see how that happens. You get in late from the airport, you're tired, you know you have to go to work the next day and the last thing you want to do is sort through a week's worth of dirty laundry.
Trust me when I say, taking 30 minutes to organize a few things will be well worth it.
Unpack your suitcase.
Sort your laundry and get it going.
Put away shoes, clean clothes, accessories, and electronics and chargers.
Check your toiletry bag and replace anything that's been used up. If you need to purchase anything to restock it, add it to your grocery/errand list for the week.
Put your luggage away.
